UOG Presidential Lecture Series Features Neurogeneticist,Dr. Matthew Farrer

Guam - Dr. Matthew Farrer, Professor at the Department of Medical Genetics, University of British Columbia (UBC) and Canada Excellence Research Chair in Neurogenetics and Translational Neurosciences will be the twenty-third speaker in the University of Guam's Presidential Lecture Series.

Guam - The Guam Public Library System has announced the start of the Summer Reading Program. 

This year’s theme is “FIZZ, BOOM, READ”.

The Summer Reading Program is a special time during summer vacation (6 weeks) for children 0-12 years old to have fun reading and participating in activities that ignite imaginations and foster learning.

The Summer Reading Program schedule is as follows:

* Registration - May 19, 2014 - June 7, 2014

* Kick Off - Hagåtña Main Branch Saturday, June7, 2014 @ 10:00am

Countdown Begins for Guam to Host 12th FestPac in 2016

Guam - (May 13) The Festival of Pacific Arts Coordinating Committee, along with Governor Eddie Baza Calvo, Honorary Festival Chairperson First Lady Christine Calvo, the Guam Visitors Bureau (GVB) and Guam Council on the Arts and Humanities (CAHA) announced today that the countdown has begun for Guam to host the 12th Festival of Pacific Arts from May 22 – June 4, 2016.

NAVFAC: $42M Guam MACC Contract "Will Deliver Infrastructure Improvements to Naval Base Guam"

Pearl Harbor - Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Pacific awarded a $42.3 million firm-fixed-price task order under a multiple award construction contract May 12 to Guam MACC Builders A JV, a large business of Honolulu, Hawaii, for the construction of modular storage magazines at Naval Base Guam.
