Guam - Guma’ Mami, Inc. and the University of Guam Division of Social Work and the Social Work Student Alliance announce the “Coming Out of the Shadows” exhibit October 22 to November 5 at the University of Guam Library lobby.This Photo Voice exhibit features photographs taken by individuals who participated in workshops with local professional photographer, Victor Consaga. Rather than have others interpret and tell their stories, Photo Voice provided the individuals the opportunity to tell their own lived experiences.
The objective of this project is to bring attention to the highly stigmatized mental health issues in our community. This project is supported in part by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, Guam Council on the Arts and Humanities Agency, Government of Guam and the Office of the Governor.
