Guam News - Community Events
Guam -e, TonyTee, Inc. and Koko' Hollywood Productions, decided to hold our first dance competition in Guam in August. This event was aimed to promote international exchange between young generations of Guam and Japan through friendly competition of dancing.
It's been 25 years since we started same kind of dance competitions in Los Angels and many cities inJapan. Currently, Japan is experiencing a big boom of Hip Hop Dance and a number of young people, children and parents, and armature dancers were joining hip hop dance contests. We had many Japanesepeople join our events at LA, however, we are convinced that to hold an event in Guam, where is the "closest"America from Japan, will involve more armature dancers and people from Japan and Asian countries.
Furthermore, this competition will contribute on the friendly relationship between Japan, other Asian countries and Guam.
