Guam - The Cathedral-Basilica has announced that the Pope John Paul II rotating statue will be blessed and re-dedicated TUESDAY, tomorrow, April 2, at 8:15am on Chalan Santo Papa in Hagatna.

After nearly two years of renovation work, the monument will return to making full rotations throughout the day and illuminated at night.

Immediately after the re-dedication of the rotating statue, Archbishop Apuron will also bless and enshrine a separate statue of the late John Paul II in the Cathedral-Basilica's nave. A Mass will then be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. in the Cathedral-Basilica.

The events coincide with the solemn remembrance of the 8th Anniversary of Pope John Paul II's passing. The public is invited to attend.
