Guam - The Judiciary of Guam has announced it will be closed on Monday, December, 24.

(Hagåtña)(December 23, 2012) –Chief Justice F. Philip Carbullido issued an administrative order to close the Judiciary of Guam on Monday, December 24, 2012.
- All Judiciary employees are excused from duty except those assigned to magistrate hearings and ex parte matters.
- All hearings scheduled for Monday, December 24, 2012 will be appropriately rescheduled.
- Any filing due on that day shall be deemed timely if filed on Wednesday, December 26, 2012.
Carbullido’s order follows the closure of the federal government by President Barack Obama, the federal court system by the Administrative Office of the United States Courts, and the District Court of Guam.
“I want to sincerely thank the hardworking employees of the judiciary for their commitment to the island. I hope our court employees and patrons will use Monday as a day of reflection and to celebrate this very special time with our families.” Said Carbullido.
