2nd Abandoned Building to Burn in Last Two Days
Guam - Another abandoned house burned to the ground in Agana today. The fire occurred between the Chode building and Bahaii building near the Julale Shopping Center. It's the second structural fire in virtually the same area in two days.

A raging fire engulfed the abandoned structure in a matter of minutes. People in neighboring offices evacuated their buildings to watch. There was one lady in the Bahaii office next door she ran out when she noticed that lights were flickering. The flames grew so high power lines were melted. Within minutes fire trucks arrived on the scene. Firefighters suited up and dispatched their hoses quickly and immediately began protecting the Chode building which was the closest to the flames. George Bamba's Grandma owns this building which has been abandoned for years. He says that his Pare called him to let him know that the building was on fire.
Just yesterday the abandoned structure right across the street also burned. It's right next to the Kamalen Karidat or the kitchen that feeds the homeless. Homeless people have been known to sleep in these abandoned buildings. In fact bamba says he's caught homeless people in his building. He thinks they are the likely culprits behind the fire.
As for what will come of the building Bamba says they are waiting for his uncle to come from the states then they will likely demolish what's left of it in hopes they can build something that can be rented out as office space.
