The theme for the Summit is “Strengthening Our Fight Against HIV/AIDS in the Pacific”, and the goals are to:
• Highlight HIV/AIDS surveillance and STI data trends in our respective communities to improve prevention and care efforts;
• Develop rational, cohesive and culturally appropriate prevention, treatment, care and community planning strategies to address issues surrounding HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis,
hepatitis and other sexually transmitted infections in the Pacific;
• Create and strengthen opportunities for networking and collaboration between jurisdictional providers, regional and international stakeholders;
• Gather as one voice to support the well-being of people living with, and affected by, HIV/AIDS in our respective communities.
The STD/HIV Program offices located at the Central Public Health in Mangilao and the Northern Region Community Health Center will be closed for services throughout the Summit, November 13 - 15, 2012, and resume on Friday, November 16, 2012.
