Guam - PNC takes a look at another one of the challengers in this primary election.

As the current chairwoman of the parole board Michelle Taitano has seen how family violence and criminal sexual conduct has plagued the island community and because of this she wants to run for senator in order to make a difference.

If elected Taitano wants to improve services and that helps victims as well as programs that help facilitate the rehabilitation of criminals. She wants to support public safety and health care while promoting island sustainability.

"If you've been listening to our platform as a Republican party we really just want to beef up our agriculture and in that when we beef that up there's going to be job availability there and then we should be able to be more self-sustaining for ourselves and increasing our revenue base and so I'm really looking forward to that,” said Taitano.

She is running for a Senate seat on the Republican ticket.
