As the Honolulu District Manager, Santos will be responsible for managing 2,500 employees and all of the Postal Service’s mail processing, delivery, retail and customer service operations located in Hawaii, Guam, Saipan, Rota and American Samoa.
Greg Wolny was also recently named as the Senior Plant Manager for the Honolulu District. In that capacity he is responsible for overseeing the mail processing and distribution operations, transportation, and maintenance operations associated with the District’s 360,000 square-foot mail Processing and Distribution Center (P&DC), located near the Honolulu International Airport. He replaces Santos in that position.
Santos is a 38-year postal employee who began his career as a clerk in Kalaheo. Since his first management assignment in 1982 he has held positions of increasing responsibility, including Manager, Post Office Operations (MPOO), Manager, Customer Service Operations, and Honolulu Postmaster. He has also completed several successful detail assignments, including Sacramento Postmaster and Sacramento Senior Plant Manager. He had served as Honolulu Senior Plant Manager since January 2010.

Wolny began his postal career in 1976 in Bowie, Maryland and became a part-time carrier in 1978. His past managerial assignments included postmaster positions in Lompoc (CA) and Wahiawa, and Honolulu District MPOO. He had served as the Honolulu District’s Manager, Operations Programs Support since 2010.
