Guam - Summer school seniors are receiving their diplomas during 2 traditional Summer School Rainbow Graduation Ceremonies TODAY [Thursday].
Department of Education officials are joining family and friends in hailing 123 seniors from Guam’s 5 public high schools as they get their diplomas.
Seniors from Simon Sanchez, John F. Kennedy, George Washington and Okkodo high schools received their diploma during a ceremony this morning at Okkodo High School.
Southern High School will hold a separate graduation ceremony for its summer school seniors at the Sagan Bisita facility next to the Agat Mayor’s this afternoon.
DOE operates summer classes in elementary, middle and high school levels every year. For high school seniors who fall short of graduation requirements during the regular school year, summer school provides the valuable boost needed to earn their diplomas.

Summer School is funded in part by Title V, Part A Consolidated Grant for Innovative Programs.
