Guam - Guam's Republican Candidates in the upcoming primary election have committed to working together to prepare the football and soccer fields at the island's schools for the 1st quarter sports season.The candidates announced the effort, which is part of the Governor's Adopt-A-School program during a news conference at the Republican Party headquarters in Tamuning Thursday afternoon.

Simon Sanchez high school will be the first to benefit from the Republicans' efforts, with work beginning at the Shark's athletic fields Saturday at 9am.
The candidates' commitment is not just for this upcoming school year, but next year as well. They emphasis that whether they win the upcoming elections or not they all plan to be a part of clean up effort next year as well.
