UOG: Register for the Guam Chapter American Marketing Association Conference August 9

Guam -The Guam Chapter of the American Marketing Association will host its annual conference at the Hyatt Regency Guam on August 9.  The theme of this year’s conference is, “Make Your Brand, Service, or Product Stand out from the Crowd: How to Market Your Candidate." We’ll hear from experts how to build a strategy that successfully creates and communicates your message through traditional and social media.  Participants will have a chance to win two Business Class tickets to the US Mainland courtesy of United Airlines during the conference.

The keynote speaker is Neenz Faleafine who will present, “The Art of Building Communities.” Neenz is a nationally recognized expert in the application and use of social networks to gather intelligence, build online communities, and use those networks to achieve favorable end results. She has leveraged the power of social media to build communities for leading news aggregation site Alltop, the Neil Abercrombie for Governor 2010 campaign, the 2011 & 2012 Hawaii Food and Wine Festivals, the 2012 Lantern Floating Ceremony, and Hawaii’s leading R&D firm, Oceanit. The lunch keynote speaker is Matt Miller, Managing Director of Asia/Pacific Business Development for United, the world’s leading airline. Based in Tokyo, Matt Miller oversees the company’s sales resources, marketing strategy, network development, Pacific joint venture coordination, and other projects throughout the Asia-Pacific region.  His presentation is titled, “Becoming United – It's more than just a new logo.” Prior to this position, Miller served as Managing Director, Asia/Pacific for Continental Airlines responsible for overseeing sales, marketing, pricing and revenue management throughout the Asia-Pacific region, including Japan, Guam, Honolulu and China.

The one-day conference also features local marketing and public relations experts and includes two tracks: Crafting the Message and Communicating the Message.
