Guam - The Department of Public Works has issued an alert to all motorists that the intersection of Routes 1 and 4 in Hagåtña will be temporarily closed for approximately 9 hours from 8:30 p.m. TONIGHT, July 31 to 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 1.

Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes or to avoid the area during this time. Core Tech International will be relocating the traffic signals at the intersection to accommodate pile-driving equipment needed for the continuing reconstruction of the Agana Bridge.

Southbound traffic on Route 1 will be diverted at the Route 8 Intersection to Chalan Santo Papa. Northbound traffic on Route 1 will be diverted at Aspinall Avenue to Chalan Santo Papa.

The Department of Public Works thanks the public for their patience and advises all motorists to please proceed with caution through the area and to obey all traffic signs and flagmen.
