Hagatna, Guam - The Guam National Badminton Federation (GNBF) will be hosting a Summer Friendship Badminton Tournament on August 3 and 4, 2012, at the North Campus Gym of St. Paul’s in Yigo. Events include Men's doubles; Women's doubles; and Mixed doubles. Registration fee is $15 single event, $20 two events. All Badminton enthusiasts are invited to participate.

According to tournament director, Bong Mojas, there will be participants from the Philippines in this tournament.  “There are 4 pairs of competitiors who will come from the Philippines; they will participate in the men's doubles level 1 (highest level or best players) and level 2 as well as in the mixed doubles level 1 and 2,” notes Mojas.  He adds that the local members are excited to test their skills against players from off-island.

Registration is ongoing, and forms can be accessed online at http://goo.gl/dOs9z , at Opus One Pet Supplies in Anigua, or at the North Campus Gym Tuesdays and Thursday evenings.  Fee is $15 for one event and $20 for double events. Each participant will receive a free t- shirt.   Trophies will be awarded to the champions.
