Guam Tourism Board Announces Its 2012 Officers

Guam - The Guam Tourism Foundation (GTF) has announced its Officers for the 2012 Board of Directors recently elected on July 26. The GTF is a non-profit organization committed to enhancing the destination for Guam’s tourism industry.

Elected to serve a one year term as Chairman of the GTF was Mr. Jim Herbert, General Manager of Triple J Five Star Wholesale. Elected to serve a one year term as Vice Chairman was Ms. Rolenda Faasuamalie, Airport Marketing Administrator and Spokesperson for the Guam International Airport Authority. Elected to serve a one year term as Secretary was Ms. Joann Camacho, General Manager of the Guam Visitors Bureau. Elected to serve a one year term as Treasurer was Mr. Bruce Kloppenburg, President of Kloppenburg Enterprises, Inc.

The primary purposes of the Guam Tourism Foundation is to raise funds for community service and enhancement designed to make Guam attractive to residents of and visitors to Guam through the collection of foreign currency coins (spare change) donations from departing and arriving visitors to and residents of Guam; to increase the awareness of the Japan Guam Travel Association, the Guam Hotel and Restaurant Association, the Guam International Airport Authority, and the Guam Visitors Bureau; and to improve relations with tourist markets.
