VIDEO: Timoti Ordered Held on $1-Million Cash Bail

Guam News - Guam News

Guam - In Superior Court Wednesday afternoon, 43 year old Endy Timoti was formally charged with murder in the death of Anna Sterling.

Sterling was on her motorcycle Monday afternoon and died after a collision with a car being driven by Timoti.

Timoti has been a resident of Guam for 6 years.

A Chuukese translator was on hand to explain to him the charges he is facing.

According to the Magistrate's complaint Timoti had a blood-alcohol content of more than 3-times the legal limit. He has 2 prior DUI convictions. And he had been in court Monday morning on a third DUI charge, less than 8 hours before the fatal crash.

Assistant Attorney General James Collins recommend a one-million dollar cash bail saying "based on the defendants complete disregard for Guam laws and pervasive danger to the community" such a bail would be justified.
