Guam - Joey Tyquiengco, originally from Guam and now living in San Francisco, California has been diagnosed with acute mylogenous leukemia (AML) and needs a bone marrow transplant to survive.

Joey is back on Guam and will be at GPO SUNDAY July 22 from 10 am until 4 pm in hopes of finding a bone marrow doner.

By registering you have an opportunity to help him and many other patients around the world search for a match. It takes less than 10 minutes to sign up and do a simple mouth cheek swab.

“For the first, we are allowing families to be directly involved and take hold of a bone marrow drive. We hope as they take hold of these types of drives they will be encouraged and bring hope to many that are suffering and waiting for their life saving match. Guam held a bone marrow drive in Feb, 2012 to help save Janet

Liang and Joey Tyquienco’s life. Both will need a bone marrow

transplant to survive. One of them, Janet Liang has found her

match and is hope in the process of preparing for her bone marrow

transplant. She prays for remission as she undergoes her procedure.

Janet a student from UCLA is grateful for her match and prays for

other to find their match.
