GUANG: Camp Freedom Kids to Conduct CleanUp

Guam News - Community Events

Guam - Children from the on-going Guam National Guard 8th Annual Camp Freedom will be conducting a cleanup alongside part of the Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial Highway TODAY, Thursday, July 19.
Over 130 children, staff and youth volunteers will be picking up trash along the road between the Route 10/Route 15 (back road to AAFB) intersection and the Route 10/C. Torres St. intersection (road going to GCC) between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.

We would like to advise motorists to proceed with extreme caution when traveling through this section of the road, at the designated time of the clean-up.

The children, between the ages of 5 and 17, are participating in Camp Freedom, an annual two-week camp primarily for dependents of deployed Guam National Guard Airmen and Soldiers.
