“We always try to get in front of GCIC, the center of it all” Perez said.
Mangilao resident Austin Lizama has been camping with family members since Tuesday evening so that they can enjoy their canopy slot on Liberation Day.
“Barbecuing, setting up coconut trees around the canopy” Lizama envisions.
Those wishing to set up a canopy along the parade route will have to purchase a permit. The cost is $50 per slot but a $75 deposit is required. The permits will be issued on a first come, first serve basis at the Pasao stadium from 8am to 1pm.
The Liberation Parade will be held Saturday morning July 21st. It begins at Adelup and ends at the Chief Quipua Loop in Agana.
