Guam - The Guam Power Authority has signed an $800 million dollar contract to provide power to the Navy for the next 10 years.
The Navy has been a customer of GPA for the past 20 years and Consolidated Commission on Utility's Chairman Simon Sanchez says the new deal is a sign of the Navy's continued confidence in GPA's ability to met DoD's power needs at Andersen Air Force Base and at Big Navy.

Sanchez says said after the CCU approves the contract tonight, it will be sent onto the Public Utilities Commission for final approval.
