Cruz said, “In this term we have ended the statute of limitations on sex crimes against children and allowed the victims of child sexual abuse to identify their perpetrators and pursue justice long after the statute of limitations originally ran—but we have to do more.  I called this hearing and wrote this law because sex crimes against children are a community problem and every member of our community must be dedicated to preventing them”
