Parachutte Demo at Carnival This Evening at 6 pm

Guam - The 68th Guam Liberation Executive Committee and retired Army Officer- Major Tim Ohno, a member of the Northwest Special Operations Parachute Team known as the Warriors will conduct a parachute demonstration at 6 pm on Independence Day July 4th at the Tiyan Carnival Grounds.


He will by flying our nations colors over the Liberation Carnival in honor of our Gold Star Mothers and for those who paid the ultimate sacrifice.

Background/Plan/Info:  He will exit a Cessna 172 piloted by Albert Dilks of FreedomAir from approximately 5000 feet falling at the rate of 120 mph or 500 feet per second.  At 3000 he will deploy his main chute and land at the designated landing zone.  He will be flying the same U.S. flag that was also used in a jump at New York City near ground zero.

Tim was born on Guam and hails from Pohnpei, FSM.  He has over 3500 jumps on record and is currently a Self Defense Instructor at the Naval Base and AAFB.
