Guam Masters Games Registration Now OPEN

Guam - The 2012 Guam Masters Games is rapidly approaching and registration is officially open.

This September, the inaugural Guam Masters Games will host 9 sports, with various age divisions within each sport.

Leo Palace has been selected as the sports village for the 2012 games, where Golf, Baseball & Softball finals, Running, Track and Field, & Grappling competitions will take place. Basketball will be played in nearby villages at various locations, while Tennis matches will be at the Hilton Hotel Tennis Courts. Paddling will take place at Boat Basin.

The website includes information on registration, sports, venues, activities, schedules, and more!

Athletes and teams will also be allowed to register and pay online in order to participate in their desired sports.

Participants can also make a check out to Tropical Productions Inc. or pay cash to register at both Strike Zone locations. Strike Zone is located across the Micronesia Mall in Dededo and next to Calvo’s Insurance in Hagatna.

The 2012 Guam Masters Games expects to reach a limit with athletes and teams. Event organizers  encourage all interested to register immediately once the fields are opened. Registration period will close close August 6 due to the limit for teams and participants. Each sports director will be inviting athletes from Palau, CNMI, Japan, China, and more. Australia has already confirmed their participation in basketball this year.

According to EJ Calvo, Managing Director of the Games, “The Master’s Games will grow each year  into one Guam’s largest annual sports events in the region, with participants coming from all over Asia  and the Pacific, and new sports being added in the future.”
