Guam News - Guam News

Guam - IT&E has announced the completion of a multi million dollar installation of its 4G LTE Network designed to keep IT&E’s wireless communications services the best on Guam, meeting world class standards.
The announcement was made at today’s Guam Chamber of Commerce Small Business Expo.

IT&E was the first to introduce 3G technology to the island and once again it is the first to introduce 4G LTE which is the cutting edge of wireless technology in the world.  The first 4G LTE call was conducted on March 1, 2012. IT&E’s 4G Network includes 90% coverage of  Guam, from Agat to Anderson Air Force Base.  Speeds are 3 to 4 times faster than what is currently being offered by competition.  Now IT&E is offering the service to the community.

“We’ve been working on this for a long time and there’s not a better place to announce our roll out than at the Chamber Small Business Expo,” said Bill Ada, IT&E’s Director of Marketing. “To date we have invested over $8 million dollars in LTE and the fiber back haul required to deliver the service to consumers. It’s this kind of investment and commitment to the community that keeps people working and keeps Guam on the leading edge of technology. This new service is truly on par with any service available around the world.”

IT&E’s 4G LTE is currently available for business applications through MBR and will be launched to the general public in early July.
