Guam - Longtime Guam sports reporter, anchor and director Brant Mccreadie says he's running for senator because he's tired of sitting on the sidelines.

McCreadie recently resigned as president of ASPAC distributors and Kontendas gym in order to focus on running for senator.

If elected he says he will be a strong member of a 15 person team who will place Empashis on listening to his constituents first. With his passion for sports and fitness McCreadie says he will push for ways to prevent disease on island by promoting health and wellness.

"In order for it to work though I think we have to do a better job of being legislators I think we have to do a much better job of listening to the people and what they need from them and not telling them what they're needs are and I think we need to reconnect with the people get their trust back,” said McCreadie adding,"hopefully I can introduce legislation to have better food at the schools we have a salad bar pilot program going on right now in the salad bar at Ukkudu high school I wanna put salad bars in all of the schools.”

McCreadie who is running on the Republican ticket will officially file his candidacy with the GEC FRIDAY.
