Senator Sam Mabini Files for Re-Election

Guam - Guam Senator Sam Mabini officially filed her documents for re-election today [Thursday].

 

The first term GOP Senator emphasized in a release that work force development will continue to be a primary goal of her public service.

Accompanied by supporters and family members, incumbent Republican Senator Shirley "Sam" Mabini, Ph.D. officially filed her documents with the Guam Election Commission (GEC) and submitted her nominating petitions yesterday to the Commission Executive Director Maria Pangelinan.

“Career & Technical Education and workforce development is very important in strengthening our local economy. I believe in providing our people, especially our youth, with education and job skills necessary for lifelong success. I will continue to work with our community, students, teachers, and the business industry in building and preparing Guam’s workforce,” says Mabini.

The filing deadline for candidates for the Primary Election is Tuesday, July 3, 2012. The Primary election is on September 1, 2012.
