Guam News - Guam News

Guam - The Guam Polcie Department has issued a release expressing their concern about the number ofr recent armed robberies and asking for the public's help in helping to solve them.

READ the release from GPD below:

Since May of this year there have been 11 reported Armed Robberies at business establishments on Guam.  7 at small convenience (mom and pop) stores, 2 at restaurants, and 2 at massage parlors in various villages.

GPD is concerned not only for the businesses, but the safety of people on the island.
This is a small island and because our island culture we might not want to say anything even if we knew something about the robberies. But we know that there are people out there that may know who is responsible for these act or has information about these acts. We are asking the public to please come forward if you know something to please give us a call.

The GPD has set up a temporary messaging system, attached to their cold case tips hot line,  to get the public tips or information on these robberies.

Messages can be left at 475-8532 or you can call 475-8551 and  speak to an officer about your robbery information.

We want the public to know that this is not just a police problem but a community problem because robberies effect us all from the businesses that are robbed to the people who are victims who are the cashiers who face the robbers. We know all these people, the store owners to the workers of these Establishments.

So please come forward if you know anything.
