Untalan Middle Teacher Steve Dumaran Pleads Not Guilty to CSC Charges

Guam - Untalan Middle School teacher Steve Guerrero Dumaran was arraigned in the Superior Court of Guam today for allegedly inappropriately touching one of his students.

Dumaran pleaded not guilty to charges of second degree criminal sexual conduct as a first degree felony, child abuse and official misconduct as a misdemeanor.

Dumaran is a Physical Education teacher at Untalan Middle School. According to a release from acting Guam Police Deaprtment PIO, Sgt. Mike Aguon, a female student reported that Dumaran "touched her on several occasions" while at school.

A criminal trial setting has been scheduled for August 7 inside Judge Elizabeth Barrett-Anderson's courtroom at 9:30 a.m.

Meanwhile, former John F. Kennedy High School teachers Jimmy Taitano and Jack Hattig, both of whom were also accused of having sexual relations with students while on campus, have yet to be charged in court.
