Guam - The Guam Chamber of Commerce, in cooperation with the Guam Economic Development Authority, and the University of Guam Pacific Center for Economic Initiatives, would like to recognize local companies who signed the Buy Local Commitment yesterday, Tuesday, June 26, at the Guam Economic Development Authority Conference room in the ITC Building.

The Buy Local Commitment is a company's pledge to "Think Local, Support Local, Buy Local." Think local would ask companies to think about a local product, company, or organization before any other, Support Local by contributing to major non-profit organizations on island, and Buy Local by shifting at least 10% of a company’s on-line or off-island purchase to local businesses whenever possible. This small shift to buy local positively impacts the economy.

The following companies/organizations were recognized for signing the Buy Local Commitment in support of the Buy Local Movement:  

·      Budget Car Rental
·      Paradise Auto Spa
·      Payless Car Rental
·      Thrifty Car Rental 

The cooperative encourages all local companies to join the Buy Local Movement through their support and signature of the Buy Local Commitment.
