Suspects in Masnayon Beating to Appear in Court JULY 25; Masnayon Presence Uncertain

Guam - The three men accused of beating 19-year-old Cameron Masnayon to the brink of death are scheduled to appear in court next month for a pre-trial hearing.

Michael Rosal, Daniel Rosal and William Crisostomo are belived to have beating Masnayon up on March 18 in front of the Vons Chicken Restarurant in Harmon. The brutal beating left Masnayon in a coma for days before he was medevaced to Tripler Army Medical Center for numerous life-threatening surgeries. Masnayon is currently in California undergoing rehabilitative therapy.

According to Attorney General's Office Spokerperson Carlina Charfauros, the medical team caring for Masnayon sent a letter to the AGO on June 7 indicating a six to eight week estimate for his release. It is not clear whether Masnayon will be able to return to Guam in time for the July 25 hearing.

Masnayon's case has garnered widespread support from the community. Family members and community supporters recently held a 5k Run/Walk in Masnayon's honor to assist with numerous medical expenses.
