Typhoon Guchol Hits Japan; Prompts Flight Cancellations and Delays on Guam

Guam - Typhoon Guchol, which blew south of Guam as a depression early last week has grown into a typhoon which is effecting weather in Japan and causing flight delays here on Guam.

The Guam Airport Authority has issued the following list of flight delays and cancellations due to weather  conditions caused by Typhoon Guchol in Japan:

DELTA
293 outbound Osaka scheduled for 1635 (KIX)  – Delayed departure scheduled for 5:40 a.m. 06/20/2012

625 outbound Nagoya scheduled for 1620 (NGO)  – Delayed departure scheduled for 5:40 a.m. 06/20/2012

UNITED
171 outbound Nagoya scheduled for 1700 (NGO)  - CANCELLED

177 outbound Osaka scheduled for 1700 (KIX) – CANCELLED

KOREAN AIR
733 inbound on 2:40 AM  6/20/2012– CANCELLED

734 outbound scheduled for 4:10AM 6/20/2012  – CANCELLED

The Airport Authority also advises that there has been no reports of stranded passengers at the Guam Terminal as a result of these cancellations.  Please check respective airline websites for the latest updates on flights affected.
