Guam Girl Scouts Executive Director Vickie Fish explained saying, "We're the very first in the nation to receive the brand new USPS commemorative stamp honoring Girl Scouts 100th anniversary. It's an institution of the country, the USPS, they serve the entire nation including all the territories just like girl scouting we're everywhere as well so it's icon meets icon but we appreciate the fact that the USPS is honoring and recognizing the timeless values of Girl Scouts and through the issuing of a stamp we can remind people of that with every letter that we send."

The Girl Scouts is an organization credited with helping girls build character and leadership skills.
