Guam - Assistant Secretary of the Navy Jackalyne Pfannenstiel resigned for health reasons Friday.

Her resignation becomes effective on July 1.
Pfannenstiel was in charge of the Navy's energy, installation and environmental initiative and she has overseen the ongoing effort to move 5,000 Marines and their dependents from Okinawa to Guam.
She has been a frequent visitor to Guam since her appointed to the position in March 2010.
Her principal deputy, Roger Natsuhara, will serve as acting assistant secretary until a permanent replacement is confirmed.| < Prev | Next > |
