Beginning at 7 a.m. Saturday, May 12, work crews will begin laying the final friction course pavement. Motorists are advised that various lane shifts will occur throughout the weekend to accommodate the work that is slated to be completed by Sunday evening.
Motorists are further advised to expect temporary lane closures during non-peak hours the following week while permanent pavement markings are installed and crews complete work on the lane shoulders.
“The Tri-intersection has been a huge undertaking—one that was much needed and the completion of which marks a huge milestone in the 2030 Transportation Plan. “ said Joanne Brown, DPW Director, “On behalf of the Department, I would like to thank the people of Guam who have endured the traffic delays and lane closures.”
The DPW thanks the public for their patience and cooperation during the Tri-intersection improvement project and advises motorists to heed all traffic signs and signals in the area and to seek alternate routes if possible.
