DPW: Route 17 Paving to Begin THURSDAY

Guam - The Department of Public Works advises that strating THURSDAY, DPW,  its contractor Sumitomo Mitsui Construction and subcontractor Hawaiian Rock will proceed with paving of the friction course on Route 17.


From 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 10 and Friday, May 11, placement of pavement will be from the Mini Camachile Tree Store to the baseball field at Baza Gardens with traffic reduced to one lane during this time. 

From 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, May 12, a short section of Route 17 near Route 4 will be paved with traffic reduced to one lane during this time.

Signage and safety personnel will be in place to ensure the safety of travelers through the area while the route is reduced to a single lane. Drivers are asked to remain alert and heed the direction of construction personnel.
