About Pancakes for Charity
Pancakes for Charity was held on Sunday, March 25, 8:00 a.m. to noon, at the Sheraton Laguna Resort poolside square. Pancakes for Charity benefited Make-A-Wish Guam Chapter and the Cantate Community Chorus.
About Make-A-Wish Guam Chapter
The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants a wish every 41 minutes, and its goal is to make sure each of these wish kids experiences the happiness that will brightened their lives. Though we’re the world’s largest wish-granting organization, we always remember how our work impacts every single wish kid.
About Cantate Community Chorus
Cantate’s mission is to serve the community of Guam by providing opportunities for high quality music and education. Cantate, which means “to sing” in Italian, was founded in 1999 by Dr. Lisa Lutter, during her tenure as visiting professor at the University of Guam. Wanting to afford singing opportunities to the island population at large, the non-profit organization Hu Na’e Hao Kanta was incorporated in 2004 and the Cantate Community Chorus was formed as a project of the organization. The only prerequisite to becoming a member of the Cantate Community chorus is a "love for singing."
