VIDEO: 6 GPA Employees Test Positive for Drug Use, 3 Resign, 1 Fired, 2 to Rehab

Guam News - Guam News

Guam - CCU Chairman Simon Sanchez says he will be looking for some answers from both GPA AND GWA on their drug testing policies.

Sanchez was reacting to the results of a random drug test given to over 100 GPA employees 3 weeks ago.

6 employees tested positive for drug use. 3 have resigned and 1 was terminated. 2 others have agreed to participate in a rehab program.

GPA Spokesman Art Perez says the manager of the Transmission and Distribution Center called for the drug test after drug paraphernalia was found on the grounds of the compound in Dededo.

Perez said that the "ice" possession charges filed against a GPA Meter Technician last Saturday were unrelated to the drug test results. He does not know whether 31 year old Benny Chargualaf  was among the 6 who tested positive. And if he did know, he could not say. The names of all 6 who tested positive remain confidential because it is a personnel matter.
