24 year Old Maria Guevarra Dies Following Sunday Accident; 15th Traffic Fatality of 2011

Guam - 24 year old Maria Guevarra of Yigo has died from injuries she sustained during an early morning traffic accident in Harmon on Sunday.

She had been in critical since Sunday when the car she was in struck a concrete power pole on the Harmon Loop Road near the Bus Satellite Station.

However Police Spokesman A.J. Balajadia says that Guevarra was pronounced dead about 4:30 this afternoon [Tuesday].

The man driving the 2006 Toyota Avalon involved in the accident was also injured. He suffered a broken leg.

The accident remains under investigation.

Guevarra's death is the 15th traffic fatality on Guam's road's this year.
