Guam News - Community Events

Guam - The Guam Chamber of Commerce announced today that its Small Business Focus & Development Committee is holding its monthly seminar entitled “Cash Flow Planning and Budgeting,” featuring Fred Granillo, Guam Small Business Development Center.

The event will be held on Friday, October 14, 8:30 a.m. at the Fort San Rafael in the Outrigger Guam Resort, Tumon.

Managing cash flow is one of the most critical skills a small business owner must learn. This workshop will help to answer the following questions: What is cash flow? What is the difference between cash flow and profit? How do I predict expenses in managing my cash flow? How do I project cash flow when dealing with the unknown and why do I need a business plan to prepare for potential changes in my business and the external environment? Participants will also learn about the importance of budgeting and some key items to consider in developing an effective budget.  The seminar is part of a monthly Small Business Management Seminar Series developed by the Chamber’s Small Business Focus & Development Committee in cooperation with the Guam Small Business Development Center.

Admission fee for the October 14th event is $10 for Chamber members and $20 for non-Chamber members. Seating is limited and reservations are required. Registration forms are available for download at www.GuamChamber.com.gu <http://www.GuamChamber.com.gu> .
