Guam - Guam's Lt. Gov Dr. Mike Cruz has posted a number of  photos of his deployment to Afghanistan on his Facebook page.

The Lt. Governor's Chief of Staff, Carlotta Leon Guerrero, says Dr. cruz is halfway through his deployment and is in constant communication with his office. In these photos, he is seen going out to the villages and terrains of Afghanistan, spending time with his colleagues and standing next to an American flag . Leon Guerrero adds that he spends time patrolling villages and also helping out at the hospital.

While Leon Guerrero says Cruz is homesick, he is thankful for all the care packages sent from family and friends. The Lt. Governor is scheduled to return from his deployment sometime in January 2010.
