More Than $16 Thousand Raised For Samoan Relief
Guam - The fruits of 6 weeks of fund raising efforts were presented to the Samoan Government and members of Guam's Samoan Community Thursday.

The funds will be used to help in the ongoing recovery effort following the September 29th tsunami.
The wave devastated villages and coastlines on American Samoa, Samoa and Tonga, and claimed the lives of 186 lives people. Including the mother of Joe Lesiolag who is a member of Guam's Samoan community and a Samoan chief in his own right.
He joined the Governor, the First Lady and other GovGuam officials in a phone call to the Governor of American Samoa, Togiola Tulafono to announce that Guam had raised more than 16-thousand dollars for the Samoan Relief effort.
The money was raised through boot drives held by Guam Fire Deparmtnet personnel and Guam Police and an art auction and the Guam Chapter of Government Accountants, all contributed to the more than 16- thousand dollar total.
