Guam -  Senator Rory J. Respicio sent a letter to Guam State Preservation Officer Lynda B. Aguon, thanking her for the two stressful years of work leading up to her signing of the Programmatic Agreement (PA).

In his letter, the senator reiterated his concern that Aguon be allowed to perform her duties as prescribed by law.

“I was concerned that the local law which designated you State Historic Preservation Officer was properly followed,” Senator Respicio wrote, “Your signing of the Programmatic Agreement yesterday is testament that the law has been correctly followed and that your decision was yours alone.

“I am sure Ms. Aguon feels she has made the best decision for Guam and therefore, I respect her decision to sign the Programmatic Agreement,” Senator Respicio said.
