The Cho brothers each scored a perfect 3.0 and Weslie Bunn achieved a 2.5. “This time we received submissions from Stevenson School in California,” noted UOG Mathematics faculty member Hideo Nagahashi. Although the contest did not set out to expand its reach across the Pacific, all entries are welcome.
The University of Guam Division of Mathematical Sciences has posted the February set of problems at www.uog.edu/mathematics. Solutions for are due March 20, 2011. Submit your solution by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Submissions must include the words “Math Contest” in the subject line of the email. In the body of the email please include your name, mailing address, school, and grade. The contest will be held monthly through March 2011. Overall winners will be announced in April.
