GPD Identifies 2 of 3 Victims In "Double Homicide-Suicide"

Guam - Guam Police have issued a release identifying two of the three victims in what they are calling a "double homicide-suicide."

According to the release from GPD Spokesman Officer Allan Guzman, the male victim was 39 year old Anthony Blas Miner. The adult female victim has been identified as 30 year old Rachel D. Babauta. Babauta's 13 year old daughter has not been identified.

The bodies of the 3 were found Thursday morning inside a home at 191 Wusstig Road in Dededo.

Chief Medical Examiner, Dr. Aurelio A. Espinola, performed autopsies on the 3 and found that Rachel D. Babauta died as a result of blunt force trauma to the head and her daughter also died of blunt force trauma to the head after they were struck with a baseball bat.

Guzman reports that investigators believe that Minor "killed" Babauta and her daughter "and then turned on himself."  Minor "died of a self-inflicted (suicide) wound to the left wrist."

The release states that Miner and Babauta "had a long history of documented and unreported family violence during their relationship."
