 Exciting, electric feel for Guam's first-ever FIFA World Cup Qualifier match held at GFA's National Training Center in Harmon, Thursday afternoon.

Harmon, Guam  - Exciting, elctric feel for Guam's first-ever FIFA World Cup Qualifier match held at GFA's National Training Center in Harmon, Thursday afternoon. Guam prevailed in its 2018 FIFA World Cup campaign opener with a 1-0 win over visiting Turkmenistan, following a misdirected header clearance on the goal line by Turkmenistan defender Annaorazov Serdar off of a Ryan Guy throw-in in the 12th minute.

The win marks the first ever victory for Guam in a FIFA World Cup Qualifier match and puts Guam currently at the top of the Group D leaderboard.

The Matao play in its next FIFA World Cup Qualifier match on Tuesday against visiting team India, kicking off at 4:15 p.m. at the GFA National Training Center. Ticket sales are still ongoing at the GFA Main Office.
